Fast-rising British heavyweight Moses Itauma appears to have his next fight lined up as Sky Sports reports that he will be taking on Filip Hrgovic on August 29 at London’s O2 Arena. It is expected that a formal announcement by way of press conference will be held early next week.
Itauma (14-0, 12 KO) has been blazing his way up the ranks at only 21 years old, most recently coming off of a fifth round stoppage of Jermaine Franklin back in March, marking his 10th consecutive stoppage withing the distance.
Itauma has often complain about his difficulty in securing fights, but he’s got a formidable opponent here.
Hrgovic (20-1, 15 KO) is himself coming off of a stoppage win, last knocking out David Allen in three rounds this past May, and it is fully expected that he will present a stern challenge to the young up-and-coming Itauma as he presents his own real danger.
