Last week, when the Tennessee Titans beat the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 of the preseason, both Cam Ward and the defense were bad. That prompted me to ask the question: which side of that concerned you more? The results surprised me a little bit:
It does not surprise me that Ward received more of the votes. It surprised me that it was as close as it was. I almost didn’t ask that question because I thought Cam would get around 80% of the vote.
The good news after week two is that Cam looked better
in the second game. He wasn’t great, but he hit the layup throws, and his numbers would have jumped off the page if Carnell Tate and Gunnar Helm could have hauled in passes that were absolutely catchable. Sure, Ward could have thrown both better, but they absolutely have to be caught.
