The No. 11-ranked TCU volleyball team was the best team on the floor at the South Florida Invitational over the weekend. Scoring victories over South Florida, Michigan and Dayton, the Horned Frogs (6-2) swept their three nonconference opponents and defeated the host Bulls in a three-set sweep. TCU will host UTEP on Wednesday before hosting Yale and Rice for the program’s annual Fight in the Fort at Schollmaier Arena.

Reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Becca Kelley led the TCU attack during the team’s 30-28, 25-17, 26-24 win over host South Florida on Thursday. Kelley contributed 17 kills on a .433 hitting rate while adding two blocks on the front line. Jalyn Gibson followed with eight kills on a .538 hitting rate, Reese Robins posted nine kills and Evan Hendrix chipped in five kills on a .333 hitting rate to pace the Horned Frog offense.
Rosemary Archer (25 assists) and Reese Wilburn (13 assists) commanded the TCU offense, which hit .389 as a team Thursday. Defensively, Archer dug up 10 balls to earn the team’s lone double-double of the match. Alice Volpe followed with seven digs in the back row and Kinsley Young led the front-row defense with five blocks. De’Andrea McMillan blocked four shots and Kelley added two blocks for the Horned Frogs.
TCU 3, Michigan 1
Winning the first two sets and overcoming a third-set defeat, the Horned Frogs took down the Wolverines 25-19, 25-23, 17-25, 25-23 on Friday. TCU hit .321 as a team and Becca Kelley was once again the offense’s catalyst with 23 kills on a .327 hitting rate. Evan Hendrix was tough to stop as well, finishing with 19 kills on a .372 hitting rate while freshman Kinsley Young posted 10 kills on a .400 hitting rate from her middle blocker position.
Alice Volpe turned in one of her best libero performances as a Horned Frog, digging up 27 balls to anchor the team’s back-row defense. De’Andrea McMillan led the team’s front-row defense with four total blocks. Rosemary Archer earned another double-double with 37 assists and 10 digs, Reese Wilburn contributed eight assists and Volpe sent up six assists for the TCU attack. Jalyn Gibson notched seven kills and six digs.
TCU 3, Dayton 1
The Horned Frogs rounded out their weekend with a 25-13, 25-13, 21-25, 26-24 victory over the Flyers on Saturday. Evan Hendrix earned a double-double on 19 kills and 12 digs, while Becca Kelley concluded her strong weekend showing with 18 kills on a .351 hitting percentage. Rosemary Archer recorded her third double-double of the weekend, sending out 29 assists with 11 digs on defense. Reese Wilburn added 10 assists on offense.
De’Andrea McMillan once again led the front-row defense with four total blocks. Behind the service line, Kinsley Young topped the Horned Frogs with four aces. Alice Volpe anchored the back-row defense with nine digs, while both Young and Jaylen Clark added seven digs. Jalyn Gibson compiled five kills, three aces and six digs.
