One of these gamethreads is going to start on a happy note. I’ll get to talk about amazing TD throws, some excellent runs, maybe even a few bone crunching tackles. But for now we once again get to talk about doom and gloom. We’re all out of orange sunshine here, have been since week 1.
Offense was a dumpster fire, now way to spin it. Plenty of poor execution led to more than enough problems and nervous fans. The second half was better, but Cade and company have to be better to beat GT today.
I know
things were a little shaky on defense, but the bright spot was outside of the first drive of the game, Troy didn’t go more than 42 yards in a single drive the rest of the day. Obviously some edge setting and pursuit that has to get sorted, but it was a better performance than it felt.
I”m not getting a lot of warm fuzzies about this game. GT has steadily improved and at this point I feel like Clemson has to show something we have not seen so far just to be competitive. That is insane to put into print, but outside of what, 2-3 drives all year we haven’t seen much on offense. And the issues on defense have been there in both games. It’s scary to think about but a loss is certainly possible.
