It’s Road Warrior time, everyone. This week Maryland, next week the Fighting Flecks (Team name change as submitted by P.J. Fleck pending approval.).
Maryland is 4-1 and looked tough in a loss at Washington,
but the Terps are notorious for such quick starts against weak foes which turn into 5-7’ish seasons. Such as last year’s 3-1 launch which ended 4-8.
I do like Maryland HC Mike Locksley and hope at some point he is gifted an athletic department which will give Maryland the resources to compete. (If that’s already happening, then wonderful.)
The Huskers go from warm and windy to 60’s with some light rain possible early – unless the forecast has changed again. If there’s one constant, it’s that the Huskers never make it easy, although it has to be said this squad appears to be clearing up some of the problems which sunk them in the past – turnover margin, penalties, special teams.
So Go Big Red & let’s check the vibe:
The two who stick out the today’s availability report are Malcom Hartzog Jr. who is just flat listed as out instead of mired again in Questionable land. Elijah Pritchett finally appearing on depth chart as #1 at RT does show up as Questionable and let’s hope fate give the kid a break and the start.

- In the house and ready to rock.
- Playing into our hands, everyone.
- The forecast changes again – now calling for MAYBE (50%) some showers at game’s end. But these pics suggest most if not all will be dry.
- I think I’m using results-based analysis and being cocky when I say grab this under. WARNING: I felt really good about the unders on the score last week, so….
- By the way, the ladies just keep on winning.
- Game on, let’s go.
