The Cleveland Browns have officially signed cornerbacks D’Angelo Ross and Sam Webb after placing Dom Jones on IR and waiving Kaden Davis.
Ross, officially in his seventh season out of the University of New Mexico, has bounced around the active roster and practice squads of the Patriots, Dolphins, and Texans since going undrafted in 2019. He’s been with the Houston Texans organization since 2022, being promoted to the active roster, waived, and then re-signed to the practice squad multiple times. He’s participated
in a total of 29 regular-season games throughout his career, making three starts at cornerback. Ross has spent the majority of his game action on special teams.
Webb, in his fourth official season out of Missouri Western, also went undrafted in 2022 before signing with the Raiders as a UDFA. He’s had a very similar career to Ross, spending time on the active roster and practice squads of three different teams. Webb has also played in 29 regular-season games with three starts, but he’s been more productive than Ross on defense.
