Bayern Munich loaned João Palhinha to Tottenham Hotspur hoping to entice Spurs to make a permanent move.
So far, so good? Maybe.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank recently spoke about his Bayern Munich loanee.
“We’re very happy with João right now in every aspect. We’ll see in the summer,” Frank said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
There have been some rumors that Spurs were not thrilled with Palhinha, but Fabrizio Romano also said that is not the case (as captured by Spurs Web):
However, despite the noise from
the outside, Fabirizo Romano has revealed that internally at Tottenham, they are very satisfied with the impact Palhinha has made.
When asked what the feeling is at Spurs about the Portugal international’s first few months at the club, Romano told GiveMeSport: “Very happy. Palhinha adapted immediately very well.”
He also revealed that there is a positive feeling at the club about Randal Kolo Muani after the striker picked up his first assist against Copenhagen.
When quizzed on whether Spurs rate the on-loan PSG man highly, Romano said: “Very happy with both. Kolo is now finding his form slowly after he didn’t have pre-season. But at Spurs, the general feeling is positive with both.”
The keys for any move for Palhinha will be if he can keep good form, if he can stay healthy, and if the clubs can work out a mutually-beneficial fee. Hopefully, Palhinha can manage to do that.
