The Golden State Warriors will complete their third back-to-back of the season Wednesday night when they take on the Sacramento Kings. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM PT in Sacramento and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors bounced back from their winless road trip with Tuesday night’s 118-107 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Steph Curry,
battling an illness, still led the team with 28 points, while Jimmy Butler, who’s been managing back soreness, played just 14 minutes before leaving the game at halftime.
Fortunately for Golden State, Moses Moody delivered a huge lift off the bench — scoring a season-high 24 points in 34 minutes.
What to watch for tonight:
Following Tuesday’s game, head coach Steve Kerr announced that Curry will sit out the second night of the back-to-back to recover from his illness. Butler has also been ruled out as he continues to rest his back.
Meanwhile, the Kings will also be short-handed, having ruled out both Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine.
With both teams heavily undermanned, depth and bench production will decide the outcome in Sacramento. The Warriors currently rank 17th in the league in bench scoring (36.5 points per game), while the Kings rank 26th (31.1).
