ACL was a challenge, but the rest of the line had stayed largely healthy during the few years when that was happening.
This year, however, every position but left tackle has seen some sort of shuffling. Left guard Aaron Banks has missed games with multiple injuries, while right tackle Zach Tom sat out a few weeks and left after one snap of another game due to his own issues. Right guard has been unsettled, with Jordan Morgan and Sean Rhyan trading out, but now Rhyan will have to settle in long-term at center with Elgton Jenkins’ broken leg likely knocking him out for the rest of the season.
Rhyan might be the key to this line’s performance moving forward. With the team no longer moving him and Morgan in and out of the lineup, the starting five is set. If that group can stay healthy the rest of the season, there’s at least a chance that the continuity will help bring them back to some semblance of consistency and high-quality play. But Rhyan, who is in the last year of his rookie contract, holds the key, and he could earn himself a nice free agent deal in the offseason if he plays well over the second half of the season.
Without improved line play, this team is probably dead in the water as far as the playoffs go. But if that group can rally, stay healthy, and start moving defensive linemen off the line of scrimmage, there’s still plenty ahead of the Packers in 2025.

Don’t blame Rhyan for feeling like he has been bounced around a lot. He has never truly been a full-time starter, at least not until now, but the opportunity is one that he relishes.

With Rhyan a free agent-to-be and Jenkins likely to be cut as a salary cap casualty in the offseason — his cap hit in 2026 would be almost $25 million — the Packers need to find an answer at center for the long term.

The Packers can’t count on that offensive line suddenly being a force in the run game, however, meaning LaFleur will need to hand the keys over to Love to make this offense go.
