Fisnik Asllani is a player in demand but is still yet to finalise a transfer this summer as he is reportedly continuing to hold out for a potential move to Barcelona.
According to Diario Sport, RB Leipzig are hoping to close a deal for Asllani but the striker “has asked for time” in the hope that Barcelona come calling.
Asllani’s agent has previously admitted there has been contact with Barcelona as they search for a new striker to take over from Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona are said to have been monitoring
Asllani for some time now are have been impressed with what they have seen. Hansi Flick is a big fan of his qualities, particularly the fact he’s a great finisher with both feet.
Sport say that Asllani could arrive if Ferran Torres departs this summer but Barcelona could even move for the 24-year-old even if he stays.
Asllani’s release clause is just 29 million euros, making him a good market opportunity, while there are also doubts over whether Barcelona will be able to sign top target Julian Alvarez this summer.
