Barcelona have confirmed that Anthony Gordon has officially completed his transfer from Premier League side Newcastle United.
The winger arrived in Barcelona on Thursday for a medical and has now put pen to paper on his contract with the Catalan giants.
Gordon has signed a five-year contract at Camp Nou and becomes the club’s first signing of the summer.
The club had been hoping to unveil Gordon at Friday lunchtime
but the official announcement was held up for over eight hours due to delays with the paperwork. However, the club have finally now confirmed Gordon is a culer.
Gordon looks like being the first signing of a potentially busy summer. Bernardo Silva is believed to be closing in on a transfer to Camp Nou, while Barca remain hopeful of signing Julian Alvarez.
After signing for Barcelona, Gordon is now set to link up with his England team-mates for World Cup 2026 with the Three Lions set to face Croatia, Ghana and Panama the group stage.
