The Washington Mystics (10-9) are playing the Golden State Valkyries (14-7) tomorrow. This should be a good feeler for how the season of the Mystics could turn out, as they try to break through the glass ceiling of the 0.500 mark.

Pregame notes
The Mystics have won 5 of their last 7. Lately, they are looking at the 0.500
mark from above.
However, they are not able to break much past it all season long.
And, finally, as things were coming together in this latest winning stretch, they lost perhaps their best player in Sonia Citron to a knee injury.
To make it worse, this is just after her 32 point showing lately against Portland!
So it is definitely up to the likes of Georgia Amoore and Lucy Olsen to step up in Citron’s absence.
On the other hand, Golden State is clearly one of the Western Conference best teams, and a title contender.
So this will be a tough one, and a great indicator for how the rest of the Mytics season might play out— muddling around the 0.500 mark, or a strong playoff push.
Go Mystics! Let’s make it three in a row!
