The Kentucky Wildcats are back!
Mark Pope and his Cats are taking on the preseason No. 1-ranked team in college basketball, the Purdue Boilermakers. The exhibition game doesn’t count towards Kentucky’s
record, but it will give us a glimpse into how Pope’s squad may fare this season.
Kentucky is the preseason No. 9-ranked team, so expectations are high, even against such a quality opponent. However, it should be known that Pope and company will be without their starting point guard, Jaland Lowe, and starting center, Jayden Quaintance. Game time is set for 6:00 PM ET on the SEC Network.
After struggling through football season thus far, the Big Blue Nation is probably ready to see the basketball Cats back out on the court. The preseason SEC Player of the Year, Otega Oweh, is also probably ready to lead the charge.
