The Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff is getting a head start on the class of 2027, as they picked up a commitment from Ryan Hampton on Sunday.
Hampton, a highly skilled guard, will bring a lot to the table when he arrives in Lexington for the 2027-28 season.
RJ Hampton, Ryan’s brother and a former UK recruit, put out a tweet shortly after pledging his commitment, letting BBN know that he will be staying in the class of 2027 after rumors that he would reclassify into this upcoming season’s class.
Mark Pope and Mo Williams have officially asserted themselves on the recruiting trail, as Hampton is the highest-ranked recruit Pope has landed. The DME Academy star has been making a name for himself this summer on the EYBL trail as he’s averaged 21 points per game along with five rebounds.
Williams has been dubbed “the closer” since he’s been so big for Pope on the recruiting trail. As time goes on, Williams could have the Wildcats recruiting back up to par.
