It’s Super Bowl week and the actual game is almost here!
If you’re a follower of The Seahawks Syndicate podcast with myself, Brandon Cain of The Hawk’s Nest, Dan Viens of Seahawks Forever, and Bryce Coutts of The Hawks Eye (and Field Gulls!), last week was all about the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Brandon, Dan, and Bryce are huge NFL Draft nerds and they made the trip to Mobile to watch some of the top college prospects out there, while I stayed home planning my trip to Northern California. They’ve
got you covered for possible future Seahawks, while I’m here in the San Francisco Bay Area to talk about the upcoming Seahawks vs. New England Patriots showdown at Levi’s Stadium.
Thursday night after I got back from Seahawks media availability I joined the fellas to preview Super Bowl 60. I provided insight on the vibes from talking to Seahawks players and observing them in the media room, then followed up with pertinent Nick Emmanwori injury update news (aka filming him walking). We do get to the game itself, more specifically what we expect to see from the Seahawks offense, ways the Seahawks defense can attack New England’s offense, plus final score predictions.
Certainly my biggest concern is New England’s interior, led by Milton Williams and Christian Barmore, wreaking havoc on the interior of the Seattle offensive line. I’m not terribly concerned about the Patriots secondary despite their talent with Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis and Marcus Jones. The Seattle defense should outclass Drake Maye and the Patriots offense, but there may be some opportunities for downfield shots to their receivers, particularly outside the numbers. Seattle has shown some susceptibility to those plays in the secondary, however seldom, and it’s worth monitoring.
Oh yes, and someone at the 1:07:48 asks us what to do if the Seahawks are at the 1 with a timeout left. My answer takes that question to a different direction.
Watch and listen to us in the video below! There are some Q&As from listeners that take us off-topic, otherwise this is mostly all about the Super Bowl.
