Penn State entered 2025 as the #2 team in the nation. Now, they will host the nation’s #2 team while being unranked following a five-game losing stretch.
Indiana has opened as a 13.5-point favorite over
the Nittany Lions on Saturday, according to FanDuel. It’s no surprise Penn State is a home underdog, but the spread does seem tighter than anticipated considering the Hoosiers regularly blowing out opponents. Indiana moved to 9-0 with a 55-10 victory over Maryland a week after blowing past UCLA 56-6.
Quarterback Fernando Mendoza has been among the leading candidates to take home the Heisman trophy, while a revamped defensive line has made the Hoosiers a legit national title contenders in year two under Curt Cignetti.
Meanwhile, Penn State fell to 0-5 in Big Ten play with a 38-14 loss to Ohio State. The Nittany Lions have yet to beat a P4 opponent this season.
Penn State and Indiana will kick off at noon on Saturday, with coverage provided by Fox.
