Amid all the on-field success that Bayern Munich is experiencing at the moment, the club is also making progress in the training room.
Jamal Musiala’s much anticipated return to the training pitch happened
earlier today. The 22-year-old hit the field for some individual work. Musiala, of course, is working his way back from a broken fibula, which he sustained in a collision with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at the Club World Cup.
Bild’s Nico Linner had the video:

However, Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund wanted to make sure that no one jumps the gun in expecting Musiala to be back soon.
“It will take a while. But things are progressing, things are looking positive. He can put full weight on his foot again. He’s in a positive direction, but it will still take a while,” Freund stated (per Bild via @iMiaSanMia).
Meanwhile, talked over his progress as well.
“It was great for me to be back on the pitch. It felt fantastic,” said Musiala (via FCBayern.com). Training in the fresh air again was also something special. And the most important thing: “My foot felt good. My first jump a few weeks ago, then my first run on the Alter-G, now on the pitch. I think you take a new step forward every week.
“(It’s now about) getting used to running again, building up speed. Then I’ll start with the ball. Dribbling, passing, shooting. It’s always one step at a time, you don’t want to do anything too quickly. When I come back, I want to be at 100 per cent, at a good level. That’s why we’re taking our time.
“Phonzy supported me. The team, the fans – you can see we’re all one big family. The support definitely helps. It gives us extra motivation that the fans miss Phonzy, me and all our injured players.”

“Everything’s fine. I hope so,” Gnabry told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Over the last two games, Nicolas Jackson and Lennart Karl have each taken a turn in Gnabry’s lineup spot, but the Germany international is in the midst of a big season where he has been an integral member of the squad.
