Maybe the boldest prediction about the Dallas Cowboys right now, in any game, is that they will actually win it. Are we getting cynical only six games through the season? Yes, but our hand was forced. This edition of the Cowboys keeps giving away games.
Not only do we have a defense that shakes our faith every week, the offense has decided to join them. So in the spirit of bold predictions, we’re going all positive for the Cowboys this week. Just when we think we’re out, they will pull us back in.
The Cowboys are on the road for the game, but they are 4.5-point favorites, according to our friends at FanDuel. The over/under is 44.5 points. Dallas as favorites shows you just how many problems currently reside within the structure of the Philadelphia Eagles.
On to the bold predictions for the Cowboys at Eagles.
The Cowboys defensive tackles will get two more sacks this week
Quinnen Williams leads the Cowboys with two sacks in 2026. Tied with a few other players for second on the list with one sack each are defensive tackles Kenny Clark and Elijah Garcia. Last week against the Packers, all three sacks came from the defensive tackles. We are riding that train.
The Eagles are softer in the middle of the offensive line than they have been for a while because of injury and trades. They have an inexperienced QB. This week, Williams and Clark each get a sack.
Jake Ferguson will surprise everyone with a banger of a game
Everybody is down on Jake Ferguson, and truthfully he’s had a rough start to the season. He only has 115 yards through six games. He does have three touchdowns, but he also has a fumble and the crushing miscue that led to the game-ending interception last week. His YAC is a measly 45 yards this year. We’re not even going to start talking about the blocking.
So that’s the reason Ferguson will totally surprise us with a 100-yard game, one touchdown, and one amazing YAC run that will have us remembering vintage Ferguson.
DeMarvion Overshown recovers a fumble in his first game back since Week 1
He’s back, we think. All signs point to him playing this week, so in his honor, we bestow one fumble recovery to DeMarvion Overshown. It’s been a frustrating ride for Overshown, and the fans, as his vast potential has been sapped by constant injuries. He needs something good to happen, so we’re predicting it will.
Okay BTB, your turn. Give us your one prediction for the game in the comments.
