Gerard Martin has been enjoying some time out over the international break, with La Liga currently on a three-week break and not due to return until next weekend.
The Barcelona defender has given a new interview to Sport and spoken about a range of topics, including the club’s youngsters.
Martin was asked which two players had impressed him the most and went for Ebrima Tunkara and Orian Goren.
“Well, in pre-season we were lucky enough to be able to see quite a few and I liked Orian and Ebrima a lot,”
he explained.
“The thing is that they are very, very young, but yes, I liked them. They still have a long way to go, but I like both of them quite a bit.”
Goren came in for praise from Flick during the summer when the Barca boss named the midfielder as one of the players who had surprised him the most during pre-season, along with Xavi Espart and Tunkara.
Espart is currently thriving in the first team at Barcelona, while Goren and Tunkara will be hoping they can follow in his footsteps and go on and make the breakthrough at Camp Nou.
