The 2026 Green Bay Packers season is (kinda, sorta) off and running as of today with the start of Organized Team Activities, or OTAs.
Not training camp. Not minicamp. OTAs. But just like those other two things, we’re talking about practice.
This is the actual work of building an NFL team. Brian Gutekunst can go buy the groceries, but Matt LaFleur and his staff have to shape it into something workable. So what will this year’s roster become?
And, maybe more importantly, how healthy will that roster be when
it’s time for them to actually, you know, do something?
Because that’s the big question for the Packers, both last year and this year. Last year’s injuries lest everyone wondering how far the Packers could have gone had the team not fallen apart. And early in the 2026 season, the team is still waiting on a few of those players coming back from injury, including Micah Parsons, Tucker Kraft, and possibly Zach Tom, depending on the results of his surgery.
And then there’s the (cursed) question of who will ultimately drop out before the season even starts. Hopefully, the Packers will make it to Week 1 relatively unscathed, but there’s no guarantee that will happen.
So who’s actually going to be out there when the games start happening for real? Let’s hope it’s a full deck for the 2026 Packers.
