With our Miami Dolphins welcoming the Baltimore Ravens to town tomorrow for a Thursday Night Football game, I asked the usual pre-game questions:
What are your predictions for this coming Sunday’s game between our Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens? Additionally, please share with us which player(s) you would steal from the Ravens to place on the Phins roster.
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-
Wildfin22 is playing the odds.
I’m going with percentages home team on Thursday night has an
unusually high chance of a win.
SlayerNation1 wants Ross to do his thing, but has Miami dropping another.
Harbaugh/FO/Owner
The other Harbaugh will be in house, Ross, do that tampering thing, this time without getting caught.
BAL 31 MIA 24
Henry and LJ combine for 200 rushing yards.
TheRoo1 thinks that you know what to do!
Just type Lamar Jackson 30 times,,,,, NEXT
Alpha6 has Miami whoopin’ up on the Ravens and wants to steal King Henry.
Player to steal: Derrick Henry
Prediction for Thurs: Ravens 13, Dolphins 🐬 34…
Ravens will try & run, with LJ being limited.
Ravens D is atrocious.
Dolphins 🐬 will use the six O-linemen during runs. Achane & Ollie catching a few more passes.
Their D will make Lamar wish he was more mobile & Jordyn will waste him when he does.
cyberflea believes that you already know who to take and sees this one slipping away from the Phins.
Player to steal – No brainer, Lamar Jackson. Dual threat franchise QB and two-time MVP.
Prediction – Bad timing for the Dolphins as Lamar Jackson returns. Last week the Dolphins had it easy with stationary QB Kirk Cousins, not this week as they have both Henry and Jackson to worry about as running threats.
The Ravens defense ranks in the bottom five in points allowed, yards allowed, passing defense and third-down defense. Miami’s defense allows the fourth-most yards per carry. The Dolphin’s passing defense has given up the highest completion percentage, has the fewest interceptions and has allowed the second-highest passer rating.
The difference will be broken tackles on freight train Derrick Henry and Lamar Jacksons improvision running which will open the Ravens pass offense that dooms the Dolphins in a close game.
The Ravens continue to turn their season around while the Dolphins despite their best performance on both sides of the ball last week come back to reality.
Ravens win: 27-24
NCSurferMike made the obvious choice but wonders if it would matter.
Lamar, though he would still get killed behind our line.
BurstingFireLegend sees things going south quickly, with Miami unable to catch up.
My prediction…. it gets ugly quick. By halftime we will be down 24-10. Lose 38 – 24.
USMCFinzFreak says Lamar is the obvious choice, but the outcome of the game depends on which version of the Dolphins shows up tomorrow evening.
Lamar, no doubt.
If last weekend’s Dolphins show up, Dolphins 31-Ravens 14
If the first through 7-week Dolphins show up, Ravens 41-Dolphins 10
FLexile had a couple of different comments. One shows reservations about taking a recently injured Lamar and sees another disaster for Miami, especially if it’s cool tomorrow evening.
With Lamar Jackson’s recent hamstring injury, I would certainly NOT want him and the potential risk of re-injury. Especially when the Dolphins have a first ballot hall of famer taking the snaps right now.
McDaniel’s inability to make in game adjustments will sink the Dolphins.. again. It does get a little chilly at night in Miami. If it dips below 70°, Tua will crumble.
Well, that’s our selection of comments this evening. With one exception, the majority of us would take Lamar Jackson in a heartbeat. As for the game’s outcome, it’s a mixed bag, with some seeing us win a second game in a row and others expecting somewhere between a close loss and a blowout. Thank you, as always, to each of you who took the time to participate in our question of the day. Please be sure to join us tomorrow evening for our live game thread.
