
Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that a majority of fans are less confident in the Carolina Panthers now than they were going into the preseason. An 0-3 record with only a bare handful of drives from most of the team’s projected starters hardly sold a strong picture of the promised improvements over the team that struggled to go 5-12 in 2024.
We can only tell ourselves so many times that Bryce Young got hot down the stretch and that Dave Canales was starting to settle in as a play caller. The 2025
regular season is just 13 days away. Fans are itching for real football and the taste they got from the preseason left a sour taste on their. . . rash? Let’s let that metaphor go.

The temperature of the comments section hasn’t spiked to the usual fever of Weeks 2-4, yet. That’s the timeframe where those folks as had hope have slowly began to relinquish it in the past couple of years. This is more an uncertain step from fans who still think this season could be better than last. It’s a low bar to clear, but it’s what we have.
