Finally! The Colts won a game. It has been so long, but this was one the Colts had to have. They jumped out early on the Texans
and that much maligned defense looked Super Bowl caliber for most of the game. They held C.J. Stroud down and never let him get truly comfortable. They did surrender a late touchdown on a second Daniel Jones fumble, but the Colts overcame that late game stumble with a 53-yard field goal to win it.
No Jayden Daniels? No problem. Marcus Mariota was slinging it, picking up three touchdowns on the day. They weren’t playing some lightweight either. The defending Super Bowl champions were in town. The Commanders were out in front of the Seahawks early, but by the fourth quarter, the game was tied. A huge interception returned for a touchdown put this one out of reach and put the Commanders in the win column.
Both teams have revitalized their seasons. One will leave London 2-2 after an 0-2 start. That is huge. The Colts need to be that team. It took a long time to win, so there is no reason to stop now.
