The Arizona Fall League is underway, and Chicago has sent a full cavalry of nine prospects, headlined by Braden Montgomery OF (No. 1/MLB No. 35) and Hagen Smith LHP (No. 5/MLB No. 88) to the Grand Canyon
State. Rounding out the crew are Sam Antonacci IF (No. 11), Tyler Davis RHP, Ryan Galanie IF, Carson Jacobs RHP, Caden Connor OF, Connor McCullough RHP, and Jarold Rosado RHP.
The White Sox prospects are suiting up for the Glendale Desert Dogs, sharing the dugout with hopefuls from the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Toronto Blue Jays.

No South Side arms saw daylight, but the bats did make their debuts. Antonacci, Galanie, and Connor together managed a robust 0-for-10. Only Connor found his way on, courtesy of a walk. Galanie at least managed a sac fly for an RBI, so not a total blackout.
Wednesday, October 8, 2025 Surprise Saguaros 11, Desert Dogs 10 (10 innings)
Five Sox hurlers took the mound in this wild one, but the spotlight was on Hagen Smith with three shutout innings, three hits, two walks, and four Ks.
McCullough chipped in 2 2/3, only blemished by a solo homer, and punched out four. Jacobs somehow wriggled out with a hold despite surrendering a hit and two walks in just two-thirds of an inning. Rosado got absolutely torched, allowing five runs (four earned) in 1/3 of a frame. Davis was tagged with a blown save, yielding two runs on three hits and three strikeouts, all in a single messy inning of work. There’s a reason why the AFL is known as a hitters’ league.
The bats faired pretty well with Connor leading the charge, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a pair of walks. Galanie was 3-for-5 with an RBI, and Antonacci went 2-for-6 with a double and three runs driven in.
Thursday, October 9, 2025 Desert Dogs 13, Scottsdale Scorpions 7
Antonacci’s bat stayed hot in the leadoff spot, going 2-for-4 with another two-bagger. Connor was a perfect 2-for-2 on the day with an RBI and two free passes. All of the pitchers got a breather after appearing in Wednesday’s game.
