Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2026 draft class (eight of the 10 picks are on the 53-man roster) fared in a 27-13 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 and what to look for Sunday at the Los Angeles Chargers:
Fernando Mendoza:
The No. 1 overall pick served as Kirk Cousins backup. he did not play. He was seen taking many notes on the sideline.
Treydan Stukes:
The Raiders’ second-round pick played all 56 defensive snaps at safety and he played 46 percent of the snaps on special teams. He
delivered after earning the starting job over veteran Isaiah Pola-Mao in training camp after a slow start. He had six tackles and he had an interception. What a nice start to his career.
Trey Zuhn:
The third-round pick didn’t play on offensive, but the versatile offensive lineman did play on six special-teams plays.
Jermod McCoy:
The fourth-round pick was active, but did not play on defense or on special teams. The Raiders are easing him back from a 2024 knee injury.
Mike Washington:
The fourth-round pick had 41 rushing yards on seven carries, including a 18-yard run. He played on 13 offensive plays. Expect that number to grow depending on the game plan.
Dalton Johnson:
The fifth-round pick safety was a healthy scratch.
Zeke Masses:
The fifth-round pick came in late in the fourth quarter when starter Darien Porter left the game with a foot injury. He played the 10 final snaps of the game. He was tested on his first NFL play and broke up a pass.
Malik Benson:
The sixth-round pick played seven offensive snaps and two on special teams. He had one catch for eight yards on two targets and he had had minus-8 yards on one carry. He did have a 23-yard punt return he nearly broke for a touchdown. I could see his role growing soon.
