This week in Purdue basketball went as poorly as one could possibly imagine. An 0-2 week including a loss on the road to a bubble team, and fan infighting the likes of which we’ve not seen in quite a few years. It left a bad taste in my mouth so of course I had to talk about it. What exactly is going on with this Purdue men’s basketball team? Did Matt Painter have any wisdom in his post-game press conference that might shed some light on the behind the scenes dynamic of this team?
Plus, looking ahead
to March, are there any scenarios that would actually surprise you with this team? Me personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose in the first round but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow find a way back to the Final Four and win the whole thing. I’m not saying those outcomes are equally plausible, only that they are both plausible. Such is the conundrum of this team.
