Good Friday morning Dawg fans, it’s Friday and it’s Super Bowl weekend. We’ve got some Dots for you, mostly from the college ranks, so let’s get to it!
Football Dots
- On the latest episode of Say Who, Say Pod, Christian and Danny analyze Demond Williams’ comments from the Huskies’ press conference on Wednesday.
Basketball Dots
- On Wednesday, the Huskies fell to Iowa, 84-74, dashing their hopes for an NCAA Tournament bid. I have the recap here.
Retro Dot
The game of the week this week is not on the gridiron, but the hardwood, as the 5 seeded Huskies took on the 4 seeded Illinois Fighting Illini, fresh off of being national runners up in 2005. This is one of my favorite college basketball games of all time, as 6 year old me was ecstatic when the Dawgs pulled out the win! That entire season still stands as my favorite Husky basketball season, and 20 years later, it still stings when I think about that loss to UConn. Still, it’s always nice to enjoy watching Brandon Roy Sr., Jamaal Williams, Bobby Jones, Justin Dentmon, Jon Brockman and all the rest of these Dawgs from this era!
