Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Wizards fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, we ask if you think the Washington Wizards’ goal of keeping their 2026 first round pick is at risk because of the team’s recent improvement. I’ve been on winter vacation since last week, and Washington has … turned things around.
The Wizards
won four of their last five games to finish 2025 and are 1-1 so far in 2026. Later today, they will host the Orlando Magic. And there is a non-zero chance that Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young could be a Wizard in a month. Hmm. Young would be a great addition from a talent standpoint. But it ould also hurt Washington’s chances of keeping their 2026 first round pick.
So fans, vote in our survey below. What do you think about Washington’s recent run — and now the rumors about Young which came about after I put in this survey question for the SB Nation higher ups. And in the comments, explains what could it mean for the team in the long run!
