CAMP SEWER-rat
This is the Mice Part:
Today i will talk in parables. Somebody’s camp has been consistently ratting out a sewer full of waste that’s damaging to the team overall. We may have a rodent problem. If you’ve read the book: Of Mice
And Men – There are 2 main characters, George & Lennie. George & Lennie are 2 simple men. George is wiser than Lennie and Lennie is stronger than George. Both men have a good relationship with each other, but they’re not good together. Long story short, the Lennie in our team, though innocent at heart, cannot continue the journey with us, because he keeps getting our George & himself into trouble unintentionally. And it always unsettles anything stable, our George, has going for both of them. Eventually, our George will have to make a difficult and permanent choice on Lennie…. i’ll stop there for now.
THE FACE OF THE TEAM
Let me break it to you, in case you’ve refused to accept it or didn’t know. Mbappe is now the face of the team and the attack, and it’s been announced in record breaking fashion with 44 goals in his debut season. IMO, Uncle flo indirectly said it in front of all the players, during Mbappe’s golden boot award ceremony:
Dear Kylian, this Boot is the result of your commitment to football. I’m proud to have a player like you, who perfectly represents the values of our club.”
make of that what you will….Mbappe has only been here one full season and he’s already being told this by our president himself. Our midfield needs to adapt to his movements, on and off the ball, and play to his strengths. Will we eventually be seen as a one-man team? Mbappe is already too big a player for that not to happen. Doesn’t necessarily mean we are because we have other big names who can pull their own weight. But this is Mbappe’s era, our club and coach are behind it.
INDIVIDUAL BRILLIANCE
This is the MEN part:
That crap ideal and tactics which imply that every goal has to be a “team effort” is causing more harm than good. In moments where the team is struggling to get itself together like this and can’t seem to figure out what the coach really wants on the pitch. Individual brilliance is desperately needed to get us through till the tactics work better and players gel well. Waiting for everybody to get it together and get in form at the same time, will only get the coach sacked and the players egos becoming more staunch and giving the club an overall bad rep. Somebody gotta step up and start pouring in the goals till things work. That’s how Cristiano used to save us ALLLOTT, especially when the coach’s tactics were falling flat against the opposition and the other 10 players didn’t know what to do with their legs other than to prep for the walk of shame. He’d step up, take the ball and smash one in to get us the win, and totally mask our deficiencies. Carlo once said with Cristiano, we start the match 1-0. We need that “never say die” attitude back in the team. it’s the stuff of champions/legends. We can’t sit around waiting for team goals to be the norm and selfless angels to appear out of our players. Stuff of Fairy-tale. Let’s stick with what we’re used to. Somebody has to rise up and assert themselves on the pitch again and again, till the bitter end and till we lift trophy’s. Otherwise, WE ALL LOOK LIKE TOOTHLESS LOSERS.
DISCLAIMER/HINT:
The 2 guys in the picture aren’t the lennie and george, In case you’re wondering.
