The Friday night game between Washington and Iowa is going to cause the Fox production crew to get into a time machine. It will be the first time the Hawkeyes have visited Husky Stadium since 1963. It will be a chance for Iowa to win their first regular season game west of the Rockies since 1987. The first time the teams played in Seattle was in 1937, when the Dawgs won 14-0. That might be a fair over/under total for this game, as well. Washington appears likely to welcome Landen Hatchett back into the offensive
line rotation. Hopefully that addition will help cure Demond Williams of the yips that have made it so difficult to read coverages this season. On the other side of the ball, the #20 Hawkeyes look to be without QB Hank Brown, who suffered a shoulder injury last week. Of course, it’s Iowa, so the QB may not matter in the end.
The game will kick off at 6 PM PT from Husky Stadium. It will air on Fox, with Connor Onion, Robert Griffin III, and Alexa Landestoy broadcasting. Elise Woodward, fresh off Big 10 Women’s Basketball Media Day, will return to Seattle to call the game for KJR 93.3 FM and SiriusXM channel 257. Cam Cleeland and Softy Mahler will be on the call with Elise.
Go Dawgs!
