Lead Rumor: Cody Rhodes’ heel turn
In any great babyface run, fans inevitably start to wonder when the turn is coming. That may go doubly so for Cody Rhodes, who has been the subject of this talk for quite a while now.
According to Self Made Pro, the decision on whether or not he turns heel is “completely up to Cody.” They say that if he wants to turn heel, he can do just that and WWE is deferring to him in that regard.
They also say that the original idea, at least
in CM Punk’s mind, was he would be working heel when the two of them came together for a feud. That hasn’t turned out to be the case.
In fact, they even say not to expect a Punk turn anytime soon because he’s simply too popular as a babyface right now.
As for Rhodes, well, stay tuned, I guess.

- Rhino will be appearing on this week’s AEW taping in Detroit, says PW Insider. It’s unclear what he will be there for.
- Per Fightful Select, KJ Orso, who worked as Fuego Del Sol in AEW, is getting a WWE tryout during the week of SummerSlam.
- For what it’s worth, The Young Bucks said in their latest video on the Being The Elite channel that they were “very hands on and influential” in regards to making the Bucks vs. Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay match happen.
