Key Takeaway
The key takeaway from the rankings this week is rather uninteresting, as the rankings pretty much stood where they were a week ago, except for some notable shuffling (ie, the Huskies dropping out). This week could produce some big changes, as there are some interesting head to head matchups in the power conferences. Oklahoma vs. Alabama, Notre Dame vs. Pitt and BYU vs TCU could prove to be resume builders or resume breakers and further jumble the playoff picture. I’ll also be keeping my eye on the G5 as there are some interesting teams there. Chief among them, Memphis and Tulane are jockeying for the G5’s lone bid, with Tulane looking to keep rolling (against FAU) and Memphis looking to rebound(against ECU). All in all, there looks to be even more interesting action in the world of CFB writ large, even though the Dawgs aren’t in the playoff picture!
