The Seattle Mariners have announced their submissions to the Peoria Javelinas for the Arizona Fall League this October and November. The list is led by OF Jonny Farmelo, who will join several top prospects from other ballclubs on the Peoria Javelinas.
- OF Jonny Farmelo
- INF Brock Rodden
- RHP Tyler Cleveland
- RHP Christian Little
- RHP Brock Moore
- RHP Marcelo Perez
- RHP Stefan Raeth
Additionally, the coaching staff for the Javelinas will be made up of coaches from each represented team (Mariners, Twins, Orioles, Padres, Reds), including as a pitching coach Quinn Cleary, Pitching Coordinator in Seattle’s system.
Farmelo is the most
notable M’s prospect of the group, ranking in the top-100 of every major list. The rest of the crew is a bit more nebulous. More reps are unsurprising for the speedy outfielder, who recovered nicely from his ACL injury in 2024 but was demonstrably rusty in Everett. Rodden struggled to stay on the field but performed well when present, continuing to hit above his weight class as an undersized utilityman.
The rest of Seattle’s submissions are pitchers, all of whom flashed something interesting but none of whom are presently in the top tier or two of the system. Cleveland has an extreme crossfire delivery that comes from a near-submarine arm slot and did not allow a home run all year. Little is a post-hype SEC arm whose performance in Modesto was uneven but was sharp from June onward. Injuries limited Moore to just 18.2 innings in 25 appearances, an unfortunate showcase of how inefficient the towering fireballer was. Perez is a strike-throwing righty whose stuff has not quite popped in the pros, while Raeth was a standout at the University of Washington who has continued to look like a possible depth bullpen arm.
A few of the top prospects in baseball will be their teammates, as Cincinnati Reds C Alfredo Duno and San Diego Padres C Ethan Salas are among the most potent teenage backstops in the world. Also with Peoria are 3B/1B Cam Collier from Cincy, who was selected 18th overall in 2022 as a notable prep and has displayed a wide range of offensive capability thus far, and OF Enrique Bradfield Jr. from the Baltimore Orioles, who was selected 17th overall in 2023 and has some of the best range and speed in all of minor league baseball.
The Arizona Fall League runs from October 6th to November 12th across a handful of Phoenix-area complexes, playing 30 games and concluding with a postseason that runs through November 15th.
