This is the live blog for Tatiana Suarez vs. Virna Jandiroba, the strawweight co-main event for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 124 card at the UFC Meta APEX.
At one time thought to be a future champion, injury struggles derailed a significant portion of Suarez’s career. Nevertheless, after finally getting healthy, the wrestling standout finally earned a strawweight title shot last year, where she was outclassed by Weili Zhang. Since then, Suarez has put together back-to-back wins, though, and hopes to get back to another
title shot with a third consecutive win.
A staple of the UFC’s strawweight division since 2019, Jandiroba also got her first title shot last year, losing a vacant title fight with Mackenzie Dern in October. Jandiroba rebounded with a decision win over Tabatha Ricci in April, and now hopes to get back into the mix with a win over a fellow top-five fighter.

Preamble
This hasn’t been the most exciting card, but there have been some gems on it, including Elijah Smith crushing Davey Grant. Now we’re at the big action. Buckle up.
