Bayern wouldn’t even consider €200 million for Olise (Goal)
What has become extremely evident this summer is that Bayern Munich had no intention of even considering a sale of star winger Michael Olise.
However, there was a prevailing theory that every man must surely has his price.
Maybe not per Didi Hamann:
Dietmar Hamann has explained to GOAL the only way that a move to Real Madrid happens for Michael Olise, with it possible that Bayern Munich would snub a €200 million-plus (£171m/$231m) bid for the France international. It has been suggested that the Blancos
are, in their search for more ‘Galacticos,’ prepared to part with a record-shattering transfer fee.
The Blancos have no need to spend big on Olise in the current window, but may explore that option again in the not too distant future. The 24-year-old is said to have seen his head turned by interest from Santiago Bernabeu.
It is easy to see why Real would be keen on Olise, after watching him register 66 goal contributions across outings for club and country in the 2025-26 campaign. He is a two-time Bundesliga title winner at Bayern and caught the eye alongside Kylian Mbappe at the 2026 World Cup.
Quizzed on whether admiring glances from the Spanish capital will be a source of concern for those at the Allianz Arena, ex-Bayern midfielder Hamann – speaking in association with MrQ – told GOAL: “He’s got two or three years left. Uli Hoeness said categorically there’s no way because they always stress they’re not a selling club. They only sell players when they want to sell players.
“He’s been the standout player. They’ve got no intention, no interest whatsoever. If the player comes to Bayern Munich and says, ‘I want to leave’, then it might be a different proposition, might be a different scenario. But Diomonde from Leipzig is on his way to Madrid. Then unless Vini Jr leaves, I can’t see Olise going there as well.
“I think the team coming back from Asia, Bayern Munich in the next couple of days, Olise will be back in training in the next two or three days. I think once he starts training here, I can’t really see it happening. I’m pretty sure that Olise is a Bayern Munich player next season.”
Would Bayern turn down a record-setting bid for Olise?
It was reported at one stage that Real were prepared to pay €223m (£191m/$258m) for Olise and make him the most expensive player on the planet – topping the deal that took Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017.Asked if Bayern could, despite their reluctance to sell, afford to turn down such an offer if one were to be tabled, Hamann added: “They turned down nearly 100 million for [Franck] Ribery and we’re going back 10 or 15 years now. And they told that story, I can’t remember who it was. I think it was an English club. It might have been Manchester United where Ribery asked the board to contemplate it and they said, no, it’s not going to happen.
“So if an offer of 200 million were to come in and the player wants to go, then it might be a new situation. I think it’s all down to the player. If the player goes to the board and says, ‘I see myself somewhere else’, then I think things will change.
“And Real Madrid apparently approached him, Olise, and surely they know how much it’ll cost to get him out of Munich if there was a chance. So we’re talking 180, 200 million. I think it only might become relevant if the player stresses and says, ‘I want to go’, because unless it happens, they won’t entertain anybody, even speaking.”
Hamann might or might not have inside information, but it does appear as if he knows exactly the tact Bayern Munich has taken this summer. Unless Olise makes it clear that he wants out, the Frenchman will not be sold…maybe not even for €200 million.
Bayern part of group monitoring Mbaye (BuLi News)
Bayern Munich is one of the clubs taking a look at young Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye:
According to L’Équipe, Bayern Munich – one of many clubs – has now also recently expressed interest in Ibrahim Mbaye.
This means that virtually all of Germany’s top clubs have Mbaye on their radar – a similar story is true for numerous English sides.
All three of Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig have been monitoring the attacker since July.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen already submitted an offer, which Fabrizio Romano reported that an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain was close.
Pejčinović to Stuttgart (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Dženan Pejčinović is making the move from VfL Wolfsburg to VfB Stuttgart:

This is a very interesting move for VfB Stuttgart, who is doing some planning for the future. While Pejčinović already has valuable Bundesliga experience, he could also represent a piece for the future when VfB Stuttgart seeks to turn to the next generation for its attack.
Godts still with Ajax, just biding time (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)
Mika Godts is likely headed to Paris Saint-Germain, but — for now — he is an Ajax man. Even if he readily admits to where his future is headed:

“I’m here at the moment and I’m giving it my all,” told ESPN.
Godts could be an invaluable piece for PSG this season and could also be the type of player who excels with the greater talent around him. If this move goes through, a lot more people will get to know his name.
Galatasaray makes offer for Leão (ESPN)
Rafael Leão could be headed to Galatasaray, but there are many rumors linking the attacker to different clubs:
Galatasaray have made an opening offer to AC Milan for the signing of winger Rafael Leão, reports Sacha Tavolieri. Negotiations over a reported €60 million deal for the 27-year-old have been ongoing over the past two days, after he made it clear that he wanted a new challenge. The Portugal international has been with AC Milan since 2019, where he has scored 64 Serie A goals. The Turkish club have also added Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli, 25, to their shortlist according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
NUFC prefers Nmecha over Palhinha (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Newcastle United reportedly prefers a move for Borussia Dortmund star Felix Nmecha rather than Bayern Munich’s João Palhinha:
It’s interesting that João Palhinha has also been linked with Newcastle at a time when they’re searching for a new midfielder. But the rumours coming out of Germany, at the moment, indicate the Magpies are actually looking at Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha. Bayern Munich would be happy if they got an offer from Newcastle. They are also set to face Aston Villa today, so perhaps there will be some contact over signing Palhinha in the window. But the club that is pushing the hardest at the moment is Benfica.
There’s a report from A Bola where they say Bayern Munich would be fine with €20m [£17.1m]. I heard that Bayern are still looking for €25m [£21.4m], but now I understand there is a new development: Benfica wants a decision very early, so they’ve set a Sunday deadline for Bayern Munich, where if they don’t agree a fee, they’ll search for a different player in Palhinha’s position. So, now Bayern have to decide whether they’re waiting for an offer from Newcastle or Aston Villa, or whether they sell him to Benfica for €20m.
João Palhinha’s salary is also a problem. He’s earning €8.5m [£7.2m]. At Bayern Munich in can be €10m with add-ons. This is too much for Benfica, so they have to find a solution for that.
The caveat here is that while Newcastle might prefer Nmecha, it likely cannot afford him. BVB could be looking for nine figures to secure the Germany international. As for Palhinha, he would certainly cost a lot less.
