67% of Los Angeles Rams’ fans surveyed are confident that the team is headed in the right direction after their Week 7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. After Week 6, when the Rams had lost to the Arizona Cardinals, fan confidence sat at 20%. One week later, one win later, and the majority of fans think this team is back on track, or at least confident in where the team is heading.
Should fans be confident in the team’s direction after L.A.’s latest win over the Raiders?
Imagine if the Rams lose to the winless
Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8? What will fan confidence be at then? The fan vote seems to swing mightily after a win or a loss, and candidly, the Rams should’ve beaten the Raiders because the Rams are gunning for a Super Bowl. The Raiders are trying to compete in the future after seemingly being in a rebuild for years. L.A.‘s win over the Raiders may have increased fan confidence, but is that fair?
Candidly, the Rams should’ve beaten the Cardinals in Week 6, and L.A. lost as you could argue the Rams haven’t won a game, yet, that truly indicates anything for the fans to be confident in. But, this is a week-to-week league and the Rams won last week, so by many accounts they are trending up.
However, the Rams will need to keep winning to keep that confidence up. And so far, if you’ve bet against the Rams at FanDuel, you’ve likely won more than you’ve lost.
At 3-4, the Rams are far from a shoe-in to make the playoffs. At the same time, there may be no better window to bet on the Rams given that many spectators may have fallen off of the Rams’ bandwagon. L.A. is no longer the favorite to win the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers are.
In theory, the Rams will be getting players like Trent McDuffie back this week and Myles Garrett at some point, so it’s possible this squad makes a real run. Anything is possible.
What’s likely? So far, the Rams have more often than not shown an inconsistent offense, a defense that is stout but will wear down, a struggling special teams unit and are 0-2, so far, in the NFC West. The Rams have a lot to worry about. However, according to the fans, there is plenty to be confident in.
