The last road series of the 2026 regular season for the Mariners is about to get underway, and what better stop than the friendly confines of Coors Field? The Rockies have improved from “historically bad” in 2025 to just “regular very bad” in 2026, but with the ball’s tendency to fly in Denver, we could see some high scoring games.
Lineups:

Lázaro Montes gets the start in right field, and with three right-handed starting pitchers going for Colorado, he should be in the lineup each of the next three games.
I, for one, will be looking forward to seeing if he can put a ball into literal orbit. Brock Rodden will start at the hot corner, his first start since the 10th, and it’s business as usual for the rest of the Mariners’ lineup with Bryan Woo on the mound. As for the Rockies, their 3-4-5 punch of Rule 5 pick TJ Rumfield, catcher Hunter Goodman, and rookie center fielder Cole Carrigg has a bit more thump than you’d expect. Righty Gabriel Hughes is still searching for his first big league win, but a FIP of just over 4 suggests he has not been quite as bad as his 6.37 ERA suggests.
