Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović is ready to play for FC Barcelona and his agents have offered him to the Catalan club, according to the latest rumors. The Serbian striker will be a free agent very soon, and it’s understood the Turin club are not likely to be able to keep him.
It’s no secret that Barça are in search for a striker with Robert Lewandowski having left. It’s also no secret that Barcelona have another person as their main option: Julián Álvarez. And it’s also well known that Atlético de
Madrid are not keen to let him leave.
It’s said Juventus would like to keep him, but Vlahović wants to test the waters in free agency. Bayern Munich, Beşiktaş, and interestingly, Atlético are all said to be keen (with Alexander Sørloth possibly moving to Juventus).
Barcelona reportedly do not see him as a starter but may be interested in getting him as a backup option, especially if Ferran Torres leaves. It’s reported that Vlahović wants 8 million euro a year in salary, plus a 15 million euro signing bonus. Given that it’s a free transfer, the investment would not be too high for a striker who has made a name for himself already.
At the moment, however, Barcelona are still in pursuit of Álvarez and Torres has not left, leaving Vlahović unlikely to sign unless things take a turn.
