Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl is not worried about the slow start for Chelsea FC loanee Nicolas Jackson.
“The time was relatively short, and you can tell that the connection (with his teammates)
is still lacking. We always expect willingness, and he showed that. He expects more from himself as well — and I believe there’s more to come,” Eberl told Kicker (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ).
Jackson’s first two appearances were underwhelming, but Eberl is correct in not burying the player yet. It will take some time to build chemistry with his teammates and also in figuring out how to play on the field with Kane what that is required. In the end, though, Jackson was not brought in to be a starter, but a backup to Kane…an insurance policy of sorts.
So, patience will be required for the player to get acclimated.
