The possibility of Ferran Torres’ exit from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain is starting to gain steam as the French club is “optimistic” about sealing a deal as early as this week.
That’s according to Matteo Moretto of MARCA, who says PSG believe they can reach an agreement and complete the transfer quickly.
Barça maintain Ferran is not for sale and would only consider a deal if Ferran asks to leave, but Torres appears to have opened the door to an exit in an interview in the USA on Monday.
We still
don’t have any credible reports on Barça’s asking price given the fact they’re not willing to negotiate yet, but PSG appear confident they have Ferran’s green light to get a deal done.
Ferran has one year left on his contract and Barça would like to negotiate an extension, so Torres could just as easily be using PSG as leverage to get a better deal with the Catalans.
Whatever the case may be, this story is really heating up.
