Indiana men’s basketball has landed a commitment from 4-star 2026 small forward Vaughn Karvala out of Bella Vista Prep in Oregon, Wisconsin, per an announcement from Karvala on Bella Vista Prep’s YouTube channel.
Karvala joins Prince-Alexander Moody, a 3-star shooting guard, in the Hoosiers’ 2026 recruiting class. He’s the fourth high school prospect to commit to Indiana with DeVries as head coach joining Moody, 2027 shooting guard Chase Branham and current freshman small forward Trent Sisley.
Karvala
fits the mold of the kind of player DeVries has seemed to prioritize at Indiana in that he’s a wing with positional versatility, athleticism to get up and down the court while playing above the rim and an ability to shoot the ball from long range.
Indiana had been tracking Karvala through the summer, watching him play before hosting him for an official visit in the closing weeks of October. He ultimately picked the Hoosiers over Cal and Xavier.
