The Seattle Seahawks added a few more players to injured reserve after they cleared Monday’s waiver claims period.
Fullback Brock Lampe, offensive tackle Amari Kight, and inside linebackers Aaron Smith and Power Echols were all waived on Sunday with an injury designation. None of them was claimed, which means by rule they revert to Seattle’s injured reserve. Unless those players receive an injury settlement to become a free agent (like cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles did) then the next time they’re
on the field is 2027.
Lampe was brought in after Robbie Ouzts was placed on IR with a season-ending neck injury. Seattle ultimately is rolling with Brady Russell as its main fullback. Meanwhile, Kight had some first-team snaps last year in relief of an injured Josh Jones and Charles Cross during their two wins over the San Francisco 49ers, but struggled in camp and missed the last two games of preseason.
Seattle’s injured reserve list is now 10-strong: Bud Clark, Mason Richman, Jake Bobo, Power Echols, Brock Lampe, Amari Kight, Aaron Smith, Robbie Ouzts, Chris Paul Jr, and Irv Charles. Only Charles is designated for return.
