Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou at Oklahoma injury updates
Beau Pribula’s ankle injury that happened at Vanderbilt has been progressing well, per reports.
The biggest question coming into Mizzou’s game at Oklahoma on Saturday is
who will get the start at quarterback. Zollers might be QB1 on the latest depth chart, but if Pribula is healthy — Drinkwitz said he would be the starter in Tuesday’s press conference.
“Beau is our starter. Beau is our starting quarterback,” Drinkwitz said of Pribula when he’s healthy.
However, Pribula’s is the same as last week vs Mississippi State. He remains doubtful. Here’s the full injury report for Mizzou at Oklahoma.
After a 49-27 win over Mississippi State last week, Mizzou comes in at No. 22 in the latest CFP rankings. Oklahoma comes in at No. 8 following the Sooners’ statement 23-21 road win at Alabama.

Pribula was listed as doubtful in last week’s injury reporters, leading to questions flying in for coach Eli Drinkwitz regarding the state of the situation. Here’s what he had to say:
Read up on what head coach Eli Drinkwitz had to say in Tuesday’s press conference regarding the QB situation.
Joshua Manning’s touchdown catch and YAC Attack was 78 percent disrespectful to Mississippi State, their clangy old cowbells and, in a roundabout way, the turf on Faurot Field.
Manning made some big-time plays on Saturday night vs Mississippi State.
Eli Drinkwitz on the road (9-16 overall) against a Top 10 opponent (1-10 overall) ends in sadness every time. There is a specific strategy that can work here but it’s going to be a tough task to accomplish over 60 minutes. Good luck to all parties involved and try not to get too mad if you choose to watch this potential rock fight.
It will be a tall task for Mizzou on the road in Norman vs Oklahoma.
As it was at the start of the season, the practical choice is the veteran. If Pribula is healthy enough to play, he gives the Tigers their best chance to win now while allowing Zollers to grow at a pace that protects the future.
Hurst makes the case for Pribula and Zollers but (if healthy) Pribula gives Mizzou the best chance to win.
For the first time since 2016, the Missouri Tigers women’s cross country team is headed to the NCAA Championship, and they won’t have to leave home to do it. The 2025 meet is being hosted at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo, giving the Tigers a rare home-course advantage. The women will race at 9:20 a.m., while the men race at 10:10 a.m on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Obviously, Pribula is the more experienced quarterback as he guided Mizzou to a 6-1 start to the season prior to his ankle injury. While Zollers is only a true freshman — he has shown some promise for the future aside from his struggling first career start against No. 3 Texas A&M.
There are pros and cons for both Pribula and Zollers.
Our overall picks are still right at .500 at 36-36, so it’s not like this season has been a total disaster… but we’re running low on time to get back into the black. Three weeks left to regain glory. Let’s get to it.

There have been good surprises and bad so far through the first two invites, but it’s a long season and Smith’s teams tend to finish strong.

Missouri was in the hunt for McGregory prior to his commitment to Louisville, but the second time is the charm as he announced his flip. McGregory is the sixth highest rated recruit in Missouri’s Class of 2026 according to 247Sports — and fifth highest on Rivals — and will look to be a strong addition to the already strong class.
It’s flipmas season for Eli Drinkwitz.
