It won’t just be new signage that Arizona fans notice this fall inside Casino del Sol Stadium.
The school has announced a series of stadium upgrades for the 2026 season, most notably a new sound system and modernizing of the video boards that were installed in 2010. There is also a change to where the teams will operate, as Arizona is switching sidelines, moving to the west side of the stadium and putting the visiting team on front of the Zona Zoo.
“We want to create the best home field advantage in
the Big 12 at Casino Del Sol Stadium, and these improvements work together to fuel the energy we need from Wildcat fans,” UA football coach Brent Brennan said in a news release. “The video boards, lighting, sound, and sideline alignment all contribute to a stronger game day experience and make Casino Del Sol Stadium a tougher place to play for visiting teams.”
The stadium upgrades are the product of fan feedback and a recently completed feasibility study conducted by the school, per the release. Updates to the “fan experience” at McKale Center at ALKEME Arena are also expected to be announced soon.
Arizona’s 2026 opener is Sept. 5 against NAU, but the first chance to check out the Wildcats inside Casino del Sol Stadium will be at the Spring Showcase on April 25.
