One thing the Cincinnati Bengals have had a habit of over the Zac Taylor era is playing to the talent of their opponent. We see them either let bad teams hang around, or just generally let them get an early lead the team then has to overcome.
That is what this home game against the Tennessee Titans feels like. This is a one-win team that just narrowly lost to the Cleveland Browns last week and has generally not looked super cohesive yet. Quarterback Cam Ward has four touchdowns and five interceptions
through seven games. Running back Tony Pollard showed he can still pull off some big runs with two long touchdowns last week.
But at the end of the day, Tennessee is a team that usually allows teams to score in the mid-20s while their offense has only scored over 20 points twice.
Cincinnati is coming off a high of scoring 35 unanswered points against the Baltimore Ravens to get to 4-2 on the season to keep pace with the Cleveland Browns. This has the makings of a trap game that Taylor will have to make sure this squad takes seriously, as the Titans are desperate.
