The Cleveland Browns have 12 more games to play in the 2025 NFL season, so a lot can still change but, through five weeks of the season, it is very clear how limited the offense is. The Browns made befuddling
decision after befuddling decision in Week 5 versus the Minnesota Vikings, leading to snatching a loss from the jaws of victory.
It is important to look at the good as well as the bad, no matter the results of the game, which we do through our Brownies and Frownies each week, but the offense makes that difficult. The following players played against the Vikings defense in Week 5 from London:
- QB Dillon Gabriel
- OT KT Leveston
- G Joel Bitonio
- C Ethan Pocic
- G Wyatt Teller
- OT Jack Conklin
- RB Quinshon Judkins
- WR Jerry Jeudy
- WR Jamari Thrash
- TE David Njoku
- TE Harold Fannin Jr.
- WR Isaiah Bond
- RB Jerome Ford
- RB Dylan Sampson
- OT Cam Robinson
- WR Malachi Corley
We will have the official snap counts on Monday; we may have missed someone on the above list.
Looking at that list, there may be some good players, but the following are set for free agency at the end of the season and may move on due to age, injuries or price:
- Robinson
- Bitonio
- Pocic
- Teller
- Conklin
- Njoku
- Ford
After that, there are just two foundational pieces for the offense and, even that might be one player too high:
- Judkins
- Fannin
So, not only has the offense been a problem all season (and for much longer), it is likely to see talented players moving on after the season and has very little to build on.
Perhaps Gabriel, Bond, Sampson and Corley build as the season goes on and can be added to the list. Perhaps Cleveland makes a move for a younger offensive player at the NFL trade deadline. Perhaps another youngster, like Cedric Tillman, when he gets healthy, puts a stack in the ground as a part of the foundation of the Browns.
For now, the current and future Cleveland offense has very little to hang its hat on.
Do you agree the Browns offense only has 2 foundational pieces? Would you even put Fannin on that list at this point?
