Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski’s future is making plenty of headlines currently as it’s been reported the Catalans will not offer a new contract when his existing deal expires in the summer.
A new theory has emerged from Poland on where Lewandowski could end up, with one journalist claiming he could follow in Luis Suarez’s footsteps and swap Barca for Atletico.
Reporter Mateusz Święcicki has said: “Milan are a probability, but I have a theory and that is that Lewandowski is going to play a season
at Atletico Madrid. He can have success with Sorloth and Atletico have already signed David Villa or Luis Suárez before.”
Lewandowski has been linked with AC Milan as well as clubs in the Saudi Pro League and the feeling is he’s likely to play on even though he will turn 38 in August.
The veteran has said recently he still feels he has a few years left playing elite football, although it’s not clear yet where he will see out his illustrious career.
