When you went to the San Francisco 49ers team page at any point during the past week, you noticed there were two things that were different. Robert Saleh wasn’t on there anymore. That made sense, as Saleh had accepted a head coaching position in the AFC.
But defensive backs coach Daniel Bullocks was nowhere to be found. Whether it was the team wanting better results or Bullocks wanting a fresh start, it was clear that he would not be a part of the team moving forward.
Sure enough, Matt Zenitz of CBS
Sports announced that the Green Bay Packers are hiring Bullocks after he spent the last nine seasons with the Niners. Bullock’s new position isn’t known. He’s held several titles, including defensive passing game coordinator for the previous three seasons. So, new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris will have to fill at least one spot.
We’ll see if there are any other changes in the coming weeks to the staff on either side of the ball. Morris, having connections in Atlanta and with the Rams, might mean he brings an assistant coach or two with him.
