The November international break is now over, and the Euro FIFA World Cup qualifiers are more or less settled. Bayern Munich returns to action this weekend and they host fellow southerners SC Freiburg.
The Bavarians are still undefeated in all competitions, and they certainly aren’t willing to tarnish that record.
Team news
Vincent Kompany may be planning ahead because he has to play Arsenal next week, which is Bayern’s next match right after this one. So he might opt for a rotated squad to take on Freiburg:
It’s a slightly changed team, with an air of how Kompany approached Bayer Leverkusen before playing against Paris Saint-Germain. Manuel Neuer starts in goal, with a defensive line of Konrad Laimer, Kim Min-jae, Dayot Upamecano, and Sacha Boey. Tom Bischof and Joshua Kimmich sit in the pivot, while Luis Díaz, Serge Gnabry, and Lennart Karl support Nicolas Jackson up front. Harry Kane, Jonathan Tah, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Michael Olise can all come off the bench.
