Marc Guehi was a regular in the gossip columns during the summer as he looked all set to move to Liverpool but saw a proposed transfer collapse right at the end of the window.
The situation means it’s not
clear what will happen next with the center-back, although he will be in demand as he’s out of contract at Selhurst Park in 2026.
Barcelona have already been linked with the defender, but the latest update claims they are “seriously involved” in the race to land Guehi.
Reporter Florian Plettenberg says Bayern Munich are in talks with Guehi’s camp but adds Barca, Liverpool and Real Madrid will all battle for his signature.
Guehi therefore looks like having his pick of clubs next summer. He may have been disappointed at being denied a move to Anfield but more opportunities appear to be opening up.
A free transfer would certainly suit Barcelona, given their continued financial issues, and defence may be a priority given Hansi Flick’s side have struggled defensively in recent weeks.
Barca also lost Inigo Martinez to Al-Nassr in the summer, and could wave goodbye to Andreas Christensen next year, meaning a new center-back may well be required.
